Women on Water – Paddle Board Overnight
We are offering 2 weekends with Women on Water! This paddle board trip is a great way to get out and explore the valley in a way you never have before with a group of like minded ladies.
Starting Saturday morning we meet at the Adventure Paddle School docks where we load the shuttle bus and head to the Columbia River headwaters! From here we gear up and get on the water to learn some techniques to paddle safely down the lazy river. Pack a lunch as we will stop at a picturesque beach to refuel. The afternoon is a meandering paddle through some inhabited wetlands where we will see birds, fish and maybe even some larger mammals. Once we get to camp you can sit back and relax until dinner is served! Enjoy all the activities that Lakeshore Campground has to offer before retreating to your tipi where you will be hushed to sleep with the lapsing waves of lake Windermere!
The next morning after a tasty breakfast we will pack up and paddle to Invermere. On the lake we will use our new balancing skills that we learned on the rolling river to stay upright with the wind, waves or boat traffic that lake Windermere can sometimes offer!
